The title of your notebook causes me some distress, but otherwise I agree totally.

The use of purse ( or pocket ) notebooks goes back generations.

We are here at the edge of one of the most spectacular places on earth, the Ring of Kerry. We have two days to see the SW of Ireland. I have checked three maps, Kim has read three guidebooks, and we have cross-referenced all ideas. Then we spoke to the waitress who three out all the plans and told of mountains passes, inland coves and hidden fishing villages.

I need only one spot to sit and watch the waves crash on the shore until they turn the tide off. Visiting an island nation confuses me with overabundance.

I too anticipate and appreciate the accomplishment of having my pen run out of ink. In my case, I buy a replacement cartridge, and it gives me a significant feeling of accomplishment.

I am salivating. And regretting that when I was able to step into a similar heaven in Japan I didn’t stock up enough. 1/4 of a small suitcase, but alas, many years later, not enough.
