About

This blog is a personal history through stationery. When I say stationery, I primarily mean office supplies.

My passion for school-and-then-office supplies has been long-standing. It was codified in my college application essay. I applied early to Wesleyan; my 500-word essay was all about the joy that buying a new green pen can bring to a morose, blah, teenager-y day filled with homework (which I aways did all of).

It detailed an after-school trip to Quill and Press, the local stationery haunt where I grew up in Acton. It made the assertion, “I never would have done as well in school as I did if it weren’t for my love of office supplies.”

Here I will chronicle my life, past and present, through office supplies that I’ve used, through those I’ve watched others use, and through places I’ve been and shopped for office supplies.

Thanks to David for the suggestion for the name.
